HealthITJobs.com has launched two mobile applications designed to help health care IT professionals find employment from their smart phones. The new mobile applications are designed for iPhone and Android devices.

Both mobile apps are free to download on the iTunes and Google Play websites. They were created to help users manage their existing HealthITJobs.com account from their smart phones.

Health IT professionals work on the technical aspect of health care information management. They have backgrounds in technology and typically use their expertise to manage patient data or provide support for health records that have been translated into an electronic format.

One of the top job search websites designed specifically for health care IT professionals, HealthITJobs.com allows job seekers to fill out their job preferences and then receive matching health IT jobs. In addition to the online profile, the website also determines job preferences by keeping track of saved searches.

The mobile apps enable users to search and apply for jobs and get new job opportunities on their phones in real time. HealthITJobs.com has Linkedin integrated on the apps so that users can import their personal data from Linkedin for easy résumé setup. Users can apply for new jobs very quickly with a single-click application process.

According to the press release, HealthITJobs.com designed the mobile apps to keep up with the latest recruitment strategies, which focus on tracking down talent on mobile devices. Tim Cannon, vice president of Product Management, says in the press release that creating native apps for both the Android and iPhone was a necessity for synchronizing them with the website. “This allowed us to take advantage of all the phones’ functionality and provide the best user experience,” he says.

As job seekers have migrated over to smartphones, it was important to provide them access to the latest jobs on the most popular mobile devices. HealthITJobs.com has shown their commitment to providing users with the most current employment opportunities in the health IT industry by keeping their jobs fresh. Every job posted on the site automatically expires in 30 days and the employer must go through a renewal process after that time to ensure the jobs are still available.
